Thank You to the I'd Rather Dance Collective!

Equity Showcase Theatre extends an appreciative Thank You to Sascha Cole and the I'd Rather Dance Collective for the great party they threw on Friday June 27th, to support our re-launch. The Lower Ossington Theatre was transformed by their wonderful effort. A special thanks as well to Michael Wheeler (General Manager of LOT) for all his support and generosity. To all those who joined the celebration, many thanks!


Kevin McCormick, Director of the Professional Development Program of EST, is very excited to welcome Michele George to the faculty. Michele is legendary within the arts community, and was among the first artists to come forward over 30 years ago to build the PDP. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge.
''Michele George is a voice specialist and vocal intuitive, as well as a singer, actor and director. She is a founding member of Peter Brook's famous International Centre for Theatre Research in Paris, France."

Check the website for details of her upcoming workshops with EST. All late Spring and early Summer Workshops are now in session!

The registrar for the PDP (Zomagë Productions) is pleased to announce a new policy for registration.

In the past when an artist applied for a workshop they were required to wait till a deadline date, usually close to the start date of the workshop to find out if they were accepted. Now when an artist applies for a workshop their resume will be viewed at once by the instructor and they will be contacted about whether they qualify for placement within the workshop. Openings for upcoming workshops are filling up, so if you hope to take a workshop don't leave it till the last moment. There is still a waiting list to join if you don't get the class you want immediately.
